Terms
The agreement between you and ULULU when you order a portrait.
Who you are contracting with
ULULU is not a company. It is two people who make cement portraits by hand, working as self-employed traders in Lithuania. When you order, your contract is with Emilija Birbilaitė, trading as ULULU, based in Vilnius, Lithuania. Write to info@ululuhome.com for anything at all, including our full postal address if you need it in writing.
Being small changes nothing about your rights. The consumer protections described below are the ones you would have buying from anyone else, and we cannot sign them away.
What you are ordering
The ULULU Portrait is a made-to-order piece: a 30 × 30 cm molded cement relief portrait with the frame included, produced from the photographs you upload. The price is €149 with shipping included, and it includes any tax that applies. There is nothing to add at the end.
Each portrait is sculpted and cast by hand. It is an interpretation of your dog based on your photographs, not a mechanical reproduction of them. Small variations in surface, tone and finish are inherent to casting in cement and are part of the piece.
Your photographs
By uploading photographs you confirm that you own them or otherwise have permission to use them, and you grant us the right to use them for the sole purpose of producing your order. If you want us to use images of the finished portrait publicly, we will ask you separately.
We may contact you if the photographs are not usable. If we cannot produce a portrait from what you send and you cannot supply better photographs, we cancel the order and refund you in full. You are not out of pocket for a photo problem we could not work around.
Payment
Payment is taken at checkout through Stripe. Your order is confirmed once Stripe confirms the payment to us. Prices shown at checkout are the prices charged. We never see or store your card details.
Production and delivery
Production takes approximately 2–4 weeks before shipping. Timeframes are estimates, not guarantees — if something is going to take longer, we would rather tell you than quietly miss the date. See the shipping page for destinations and delivery details.
Changing your mind
Every portrait is sculpted to your specification, so the fourteen-day right of withdrawal that normally applies to online purchases does not apply here — that exemption exists for custom-made goods, and a portrait of your dog is not something we can offer to anyone else.
What we offer instead: email info@ululuhome.com any time before we start sculpting and we will cancel your order and refund you in full, no reason needed. Once the sculpting has begun we cannot refund a cancellation, because the work has been done. If you are unsure, ask us where your order stands and we will tell you honestly.
If something is wrong with your order
If your portrait arrives damaged, or it is not what you ordered, email info@ululuhome.com within 14 days with photographs of the piece and the packaging. We will remake it or refund you — your choice, at our cost, including return postage if we need the piece back.
This sits on top of your statutory rights, which last far longer than 14 days. If a fault in the piece itself shows up later, tell us and we will deal with it.
Liability
We are responsible for the portrait we make and for getting it to you in one piece. Beyond that, and except where the law does not allow it to be limited, our liability for any single order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for losses that were not a foreseeable consequence of us getting something wrong — a missed birthday, for instance, when you did not tell us there was a date.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Lithuania. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protections of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in your own courts.
If we cannot settle something between us, you can take a consumer complaint to the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority in Lithuania, or to the equivalent body where you live. We would much rather you emailed us first — it is two of us reading that inbox, and we will answer.
